One of the smear ads during the recent elections showed a .50 cal going through 3 police cars at the door area intending to show how evil the proponent of keeping them legal to own was.

They failed to mention that a .308 AP round will do the same in a single shot rifle.

They sure are.

I prefer 16" guns (this pic was taken aboard the USS New Jersey BB-62) but when the enemy is 26+ nautical miles away, you've got to sometimes make-do with shoulder held fire power.
