2 questions (brakes and wrenches)
I'm buying a set of wrenches for the Jeep, should I get metric or standard.
Second, I got my brakelines today. I decided to go with the RE lines (instead of the YJ lines) for an extra $20. I don't see any of these brass washers everyone talked about. Do I need them? Thanks, Brian.

metric will handle most stuff as long as the jeep is in stock form but once you start adding a bunch of stuff it needs some imperial sizes.
the little copper or brass washers are a must have. i believe they are called banjo washers. its best to have new washers but you can get by with used ones if you heat them up first with a torch. id just get new ones. it is always better to optimize brakes expecially if they are of the crappy stock kind (like mine) |

Your TJ uses both SAE and metric Brian. It's mainly SAE on the engine and drivetrain and mainly metric elsewhere. But just when you think you know what you'll need when you crawl underneath, it'll bite you and you'll need the other set.

Thanks guys, I bought a set of SAE and I've got a bunch of Metric sockets... I'm hoping for the best.
I'm worried about the banjo washers though... I really wanted to get the brake lines installed this weekend but tha local auto parts store had none. Hopefully I can find some somewhere.

It's kinda funny when you find out how dumb you are. Had I done any kind of work (myself) on my Jeep before the question about standard or metric wouldn't have happened. Both are all over the place. Sorry. Brian.
