Said Good Bye to the Jeep this weekend.

Since starting my new job 4 weeks ago I spent on average about 100 dollars per week in gas. And trying to get stuff in and out of the soft top was a pain. So I sold the Jeep this weekend and got a 2005 Toyota Matrix XRS. It is a fun car it rips pretty good with the 170 HP motor and 6 speed. The back opens nicely to get stuff in and out of and is confortable and quite. I will miss the jeep but I have my Samurai for off road and I'm sure sometime in the future I will get an older jeep.

Sami

SPOA Done
5 to 1 T-Case Done
Lockrights Done
MTR's Done
Winch Mount Done
Warn M8000 Done
Blah Blah Blah

Good enough for Slade and the other stuff in Kentucky.

I need to weld shock mounts into place and change the brake lines which are setting in my garage. And I need to find a decent cage to protect my head and someone that can weld good enough to protect my head.

That makes it easier to roll back over or winch up the obstacle after you get stuck - right?

I like the Matrix - should be a fun car.

A 8000 lb winch on a 2200 lb rig, I should be able to pull it up almost anything. And I probally could flip it back on it's wheels by myself

The sami sounds like a perfect, cheap vehicle to wheel. Plus like you said, if you get stuck in mud you can get about 10 people to lift it out.

With 10 people you should be able to lift over 2 sammies
