Thumbs up I'm back....

I'mmmmm Baaaaack!

We'll, sort of. At least I'm feet dry again & back from being out at sea. I was off the coast of Florida & Georgia this past week while underway aboard the USS Vicksburg (CG-69). I'm still in the JAX's Florida area but I fly back home tomorrow morning. Can you tell I'm anxious to get back home?

The Vicksburg was a true pleasure to work aboard. The crew was fantastic, the food was ....okay, the food wasn't nothing to brag or write home about but everything else worked out well in the end. I'm confident after the crew gets some more hands-on training with their new system they'll be a vicious force to recon with.

We got to see the mighty Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) do a few tricks while we were out at sea & I got some nice pics I need to download and share later.

Here's a little trailer in the meantime. Enjoy - turn the sound up.

Thanks Jerry.

Erik, naw, I stole that off of the H. S. Truman website.

I did however, get a chance to watch crewmembers play with some of the "small arms" guns while aboard Vicksburg. They played with M60's (Rambo machine gun), single .50 cal plus a few twin .50 cals, and a 20MM gun. I have some pics of those but can't download them till I get back home.

We mostly concentrated on a new version of Tomahawk (TTWCS v5) that was installed on the ship the week before I got there. Mind boggling sweet stuff.
