Colorado Pictures.........

We had a great time in Colorado. We spent a week in Marble, 10 days in Leadville and a week in Pitkin.
It rained most every day a little bit so it was nice and cool and dust free.

Here's a few pictures:

I can't get enough and I plan on going back in September and camping with the dog for the fall colors. Any one interested?

Chris O, I tried calling you before we went to Marble but got no answer. There is no phone service in Marble. Maybe next time?

Here's some more pictures with captions:

Great pics!

That's beautiful country - been a long time since I've been up there but really want to go back. I really liked the Durango and Silverton area, and the train trip between the two was awesome!

Great pics Ron!! Thanks for sharing.

Here's a couple I took while there a few weeks ago. BTW, that's Monique in the second pic hicking towards the mill, and Bobs Jeep next to mine in the bottom pic.

I can't wait until I can retire and go on TJRON style vacations. You are my hero!

Since this is a Colorado pictures thread here is my new favorite picture of my XJ:

I would probably have to start now just to see all there is to see in Colorado, thanks, Ron!

Glad to finally meet up with you. Drop an email when you plan to head back out here and we'll try to set something up other than a random meeting in the middle of nowhere.

later,
mark

Sigh... beautiful pics. I really wish I had more time to run the trails out there.

I wanted to visit that place in the first pic for myself but I have to live vicariously through TJRON until I can make it back out that way.

Sigh.....

Ron, thanks for sharing the pictures. Colorado is sure neat. We were in Leadville a few years back, but did not get to spend much time exploring. Gotta go back.

I've always liked this one because Miss Sue is smililing and having a good time even though she has to put up with you.

These digital cameras are so cool. I can take over 500 pictures on a trip. More than that when I edit out the really crappy ones each night. You gotta get a few good ones when you take as many as I do. My favorite saying as I snap away with the digital and rechargeable batterys is, "It's free, it's free" or "Why not, it don't cost nothing."

Hi Ron,
I must have missed this thread earlier! Sorry I missed your call. Try my cell phone next time (970-618-2233).

Yes, I'd be interested in Jeepin' with you in September! I have several things planned that month, but give me a call or email me some dates and I'll try to arrange my calendar.
