Cool Stupid silly question related to people in general

Why does one need a "reason" to get dressed up?

I decided to throw on something more then my usual jeans/t-shirt to work and I get nice complements from people but it's like I need to have some big special reason for doing so...

"You look really good today,...

A. Do you have a job interview after work?"
B. Going on a lunch date straight from work?"
C. What's the special occassion?"

These were all the comments today.

How about "D".... "Because I felt like it."

People. LOL

It might be their way of telling you how great you look, without coming across as the pigs they are (the men anyway)

Well, the easy solution is mine. The only way you can tell if I'm dressed up is by the number of welding burn holes in the denim.

Dressed up is the least number of holes.

I try to find a reason to "dress down" Mon-thurs, it's slacks and tie. Friday, it's Dockers and a Polo or nice casual dress shirt. Woo Hoo. Weekends are all about shorts/tee shirts. For going out, what ever works with Levis.
I wish people wouldn't judge us by how we dress.

I feel fairly lucky in this respect. I have always been able to wear a pair of Levis to work.

Would I need a reason to dress up? Yes. Well, it's more like I'd need a reason to go out and buy some new clothes.

This summer here in Kuwait it got up to 145 degrees F!!! Every day I have to wear pants and a polo style shirt. Unfortunately those days I was trudging around outside taking some measurements wearing Steel Toe boots! I'm in the engineering department, so I'm usually inside though.

You are judged very highly by your appearance.
