Imperial Sand Dunes Debate on PBS tonight

Myself and Vicki Warren from ASA have been invited to participate in an online on TV debate on KCET, a PBS station. This is to do with the sand dunes and the Plan. The people we are debating against are Daniel Patterson from Center for Biodiversity and another gentleman from the Desert Survivors which is a environmental group.

The show airs from 9-10 and the debate will be from 10-11 on TV.

Hope you all can catch it. It is suppose to be aired all over California.

Garry.....good luck! I hope they gave you more than a few hours of advance notice.

I probably won't get it here in Arizona (but I will check). Could someone toss a VHS tape into the recorder for me? TIA

KVIE (Sacramento PBS) isn't covering it or I'd tape it.

Talking

Hints for being on TV:

Don't pick your nose.
Don't call the other person a "raving lunitic".
Don't cover your head with your Tshirt
Don't say "Hi Mom"
Don't be kissing some one else's wife.
If it says Jerry Springer ~ be aware it's probably not a good thing.

Good luck!! I wonder if the Bionazi will bring up that little weed-like plant that started the whole closure to begin with. do you think he'll admit that the plan is now worse off then ever before? Seems this little "Endangered" Weed could not survive being run over by All terrain vehicles. Hmmmm....seems that it was over abundant due to the fact of being run over...smashing one plant spread the seeds to create over 20 more.

I'd get into particulars but I'm curious as to weather or not he'll bring this up.

Anyway, hope all goes well and I wish I got the program here!

Uh Uh not me. I can't even visualize myself and some greenie?s in a debate together. I would guess it would make anything on Jerry what ever his name is pale by comparison. Jeri Ferguson is the lady that coined the expression ?we are all environmentalists? at HDR. She is the CA4WD environmental rep. Sorry for any confusion.

Angry

Who was that fruitcake that said, that photographers wanted the Imperial Dunes closed?

What an ass wipe! I am a photographer. I can tell you, the heavier your equipment is, the better quality (technically) pictures you can take; this is a rule of thumb. I want to see that imbecile marching through the desert fully loaded with gear.

Errr. The whole thing is depressing.

Thank you Vicki and Jeri for trying to put a good spin on the matter.
