RE extreme Duty trac bar problem?
I'm still getting death wobble every once and a while and cant seem to figure it out. I went under my jeep Friday night after getting a wobble and grabbed the trac bar. I was able to push it up and down at the threads. I unbolted the frame end and unscrewed the threaded end all the way to check out the threads. Everything looked ok. I threaded it back on and it wobbles on the threads until it bottoms out. I threaded it all the way on and cranked the jam nut on tight and now it doesnt wobble.
That threaded end shouldnt have any play in it while its threaded in should it?? This trac bar was bought in Dec so I'm hoping I can get it replaced it there is a problem. Anyone have this bar that can help?? Jim Klouzek 97 TJ Sport

Jim, it is extremely important that you never let a rod end work on the threads. The jam nut must be tight on there to hold the threads jammed against each other.
Failure to do so will rapidly wear the threaded sections out and cause premature failure. You can check with RE but I will be happily surprised if they warranty it. It is impossible to ascertain the value of something until you have paid for it a few times.
