Well, I went on my R&R to the US. I flew out to CA for an interview and it was a board/panel interview with 7 people. They grilled me for an hour with technical questions for the position. Backgroung: mechanical designer, temporary/contract position for 6+ months, ~$50/hr. They seemed to like what I had to say and were pleased with what I knew and could bring to the table. So I gathered from speaking with them. They called me to inform me I wasn't chosen due to relocating reasons. I told them I didn't really have a home in the US anyway. I'm just using an address to receive mail since I work in Kuwait. They didn't care though. Bummer.

To make things worse, my g/f broke up with my at the airport right before I had to board the plane to come back to Kuwait. Total downer R&R and I'm back in the catbox.
