Considering that up until May of this year (when it bacame a Honda) the best selling vehicle in the US for 16 years was the F-150 pickup - _someone_ must have been buying those "****ty US cars"

With exceptions here or there (vette, caddy, mustang, etc) American Car companies have given up on the car market for years already.

They only area they were trying to remain top dog in was the truck and large SUV market (probably because it was the only segment they could make money in).

If you look at the amount of thought and quality put into an f150 or a silverado and then take a look at the chevy impala, as an example, it's pretty easy to see why people are buying camrys and accords.
