In response to the hood latch - one of mine snapped this summer when I was about 100 miles beyond the middle of nowhere in Nebraska, headed out to CO from ND. I had some black zip ties on hand, so I used 3 of those to make a replacement for the rubber piece. It sounds ghetto, but it actually looks fine until I decide that I'm rich enough to give the dealership $35 for some pieces of plastic and a big rubberband.
