It's going to snow here in San Diego this weekend as well.

Sunday I'm riding (MTB) from Anza Borrego desert to Laguna summit. Planning on getting snowed on a bit

Jerry, cool pic. Thats the soccer field my kids play at and the building pads to the right was the last tract home grading project that I bid (and recieved) 3 years ago.

Enjoy your warmth down there, it's forecast to get cold up here too.

-13 is way out of my comfort level.

How's Minnesota and Iowa doing?

Wonderful weather today, supposed to get into the 40's so should get rid of some of the snow and ice before it gets back into the teens for highs again next week. This is about normal for Dec here. I don't mind the snow, I hate the ice storms.

I agree with David, snow is ok, but ice is not fun. 7 more days and I am freezing my rear end off.

20* in Evanston, WY. About 2" of snow on the ground now 2"-4" to go and temps down around 5* when I can take off about midnight or so.
I hate these Fed mandated 34hr layovers
Mike

We got about a foot of snow yesterday....did my driveway and then the neighbours...went to my Dad's used his snowblower to do his driveway...came home and the plow and left a big bank at the end of the driveway...came in.. had lunch (brought my 84 yr old Dad with me) then we decorated the tree...everybody left..Miss Sue went to work...dropped my Dad off at home...the kids were taking a nap...I fired up the snowblower to do the end of the driveway...the snowblower sounded like it was reving a little high...I thought it was more noticeable as I didn't have my toque on (if you don't know what a toque is...google)....before I got to the snow bank the snowblower just shut off....hmmm...not goood...couldn't budge the pull cord...I think the engine is seized...and we got another foot coming for next weekend...oh and the windchill for the next couple of days is going to be minus 40...F or C...doesn't matter still the same...

oh and did I mention I don't mind the weather....

been snowing non stop all day. some of the chained up semis had trouble on the hills and hwy 30 got shut down for a while right after i sneaked through.

it's pretty
i like to hit people with it
igloos are fun
sledding is great with the kids

but

the snow broke the rules and came to me... it must be punished... (don't eat the yellow snow)

Well, we have gotten over 4 ft now and I can't get home. My jeep is stuck on my road with a snow bank over the hood and i'm on 37's. I winched it as far as I could until my winch line snapped. Tractor time.

The ground is too wet for it to stick, but it has been snowing all afternoon here in La Crescenta.

got up before 6 am and it hasnt stopped snowing once. i have a pretty good vantage point to see the intersection below my house. gone down to help a few people chain up and offer some conversation. gave one lucky fellow a set of cables and asked if he would pay it forward.

Apparently you folks up in the Pacific Northwest are getting hammered pretty good. Two co-workers from Tacoma had their flights home cancelled. One on Thursday and the other today.
