Taking over of the Sierra Club

Taking over of the Sierra Club

Seems there is a group of people (anti-illegal immigration group) who have come up with a great idea!

They just mailed out 750,000 letters urging people to "Join the Sierra Club". Then, once a member, vote out the existing board, vote in their own board and take the organization over.

Sounds like a plan to me! Or is that a revolution from within the belly of a Trojan Horse?

Sounds like a great strategy to me! Now for the tactical execution.

Valid concept - at one time I was actually a card carrying member of the National Coalition to Ban Handguns. Always wondered how many others in the meetings were "plants"

With all respect, I disagree.

It costs minimum of $24 to join the Sierra Club. We can plan plots against them all we want, but in the meantime we would be giving them 18 million plus dollars which they will gladly use to close trails, make SUVs illegal, and stuff like that.

Not to mention they do a background check just for this type of thing. Tried to join once and was told my involvement with off roading was against their policy and was not approved.

Do you think the 37" tires on your CJ were too much of a clue to them?

Actually folks I believe this is very "do-a-ble", to the point that the Sierra Club seems to be very concerned about the potential take over.

Here are a few news links.

I'm sorry I can't help but marvel at the strategy and the level of pain that is currently being inflicted on such a wonderful "club".

Maybe they can spend their $95 million dollar war chest on self defense instead of frivolous lawsuits.

Actually, the SC sponsors Jeep tours in Africa all the time - the adds for them are listed in the back of their magazine
