CA Diesel Truck owners

From various websites, I have read that my '07 3500 dually is rated between 12,000 & 12,500 GVWR. Naturally, GCVW is much higher and ~23,000.

Im pretty sure this only applies to commercial vehicles.
There is a big stink about this down at the docks/ shipyards in Long Beach. Tam

Now I have to do some checking! I'm about to pull the trigger on a new to me Toterhome and it will definately be over the 14000 lbs threshold.
