That shows me that the tire is flexible, not necessarily puncture resistant

In fairness though with what you guys are using them for trading some sidewall strength for flexibility is a good thing.

Well - maybe - but the point is that tire is being kneaded like bread dough and it didn't tear.

Art - lets start a swamper vs. MTR rant!!!

We need to come up with some new rants, the old ones are worn out (MTR vs SX, auto vs manual, unibody vs frame, welded vs bolted d rings, ...). I enjoy arguing and am open to suggestions

Paul,
You asked the question without any prompting so I answered it - if that is what you consider having an agenda, have at it.

As for name calling - seems to me that there was alot of that going on before I stepped in. If you consider being called touchy name calling, have at it again.

Frankly, I do not see what the point is with Jeff, or any other bus driver wanting out of the bus and into a SWB - you guys are the ones that seem to care, not us SWB guys. And in the end, who really gives a flying f anyways - as another bus driver said, as long as its getting wheeled and ain't broke in front of me, thats all that counts.

As Art said that just shows the tire is flexible. The majority of cuts are sidewall damage. Lets see the same with the thread folded under.

I was speaking up for Jeff and not against anybody - read my original post.

You guys really do seem to have an axe you want to grind. Ooh ooh, you have an agenda, ooh he called me touchy, ooh ooh ooh I'm done with this debate - give me a break, ya'll shouldn't dish the rock if you don't want to get the rock.

Art, I think we have your new debate topic - is Yates an asshole or not?

Robert I'll debate you on any Jeep subject you want. But its sh!t like what's above is not much above the playground. If you have an opinion - state it, if you have a fact - source it. Otherwise keep it fun. I don't dish rocks, I just drive over them.

I have an opinion that XJ's are heavy and the unibodies are not that durable (notice I didn't use the word strong) but apparently that opinion gets some folks here really upset.

As for the competition thing Mark - cool that you were in the 24 hours on the Hammers - folks will always get props from me for stuff like that. Sorry that I am VCR impaired or else I probably would have known You going to be in Mennifee this Saturday?

The thing is Robert, you have an opinion, you asked some questions, you got many civil answers that you didn't like, & then you resorted to name calling. In your original thread we debated this for days, not only did I not call you names, but I did not bring your TJ into it, which was an easy target if I wanted to resort to it.
The bottom line is, you're inflexible, out of ammo, & don't want to simply say let's agree to disagree.
As for Jeff, I never called him any names. I asked him for pictures, I asked him if he was too embarrassed to post pictures, & I asked for pictures in good light. All 3 of these questions were asked from Jeff to me last month, I don't think Jeff would consider it out of line. & none of this has anyyhing to do with what Jeff drives.
Paul

Paul,

I am still confused as to what names I called you that you are referring to. I consider "touchy" to be an emotional state, not a derogatory name. I am also not sure what you mean by being out of ammo - frankly, you guys seem to do just fine in making sure us SWB guys always have some. Thats a joke - ok

Actually you were coming across like Jeff was better because he competed in it unlike Mark so you thought. I have nothing against anyone here I am just pointing that out with a little fun thrown in towards Jeff.

As far as the XJ thing in my opinion the bodys fair as well if not better than the CJ's on the whole. The XJ was also designed more than a decade before the TJ and things have improved in later unibodies.

Maybe its just the feeling that the SWB guys like to tell the as you put it "BUS" drivers (not that the term bus driver is name calling ) what problems we have. To each their own but you won't find me telling you how your SWB should be.

Thanks a lot buddy - see if I talk up any ORGS MFG stuff any more -

He was like a vulture on a carcass - practically RAN with his new digital camera out to take pictures.

This thread should all be in fun - no one should get their panties up in a wad.

Jeff

I'm glad I stayed out of the"joke thread".
I remember another "joke thread" where I was cluless, screwed up the thread and sounded stupider than usual.
I don't much care for joke threads.

Jeff, the XJ looks good that way! Bondo and primer and you'll have to beat the chicks off with a stick!

Did all that damage really happen from just one trip or is that still part of the "joke"? Is the switch to a SWB further part of the joke, and if so, what becomes of the XJ? Gonna' leave it parked downtown with the keys in it?
