talk about overkill....
I was ordering some parts the other day to complete my spare 44 shaft project and decided to order an ARB snatch block 'cause I needed one.
The package arrived today. Holy Crap!!! That snatch block is HUGE!!! I don't really need one that big do I???

Remember, the larger the pulley, the greater the radius on the pulley which means less stress on the cable/rope going around the bend.
Also, although it's been years since I took Rescue Systems I, but IIRC a larger pulley offers slight increases in mechanical advantage over smaller pulleys. Of course this only applies if the pulley is attached to the object being moved. Otherwise it's just a change of direction. Then again, how big a snatch block you need really depends on how large your hips are
