Angry AAAaaarrgghh!!!

Dunno what's more frustrating, People who don't know what they are doing, or people who take their "job" a little too seriously.

Finally got given something to do at work, "Go swap out this new PC for the old one on the desk".

OK, not too taxing. "where is the old PC's location?"
"Dunno, but if you go to building X, turn left, down the corridor, somewhere near the end is an office on the left with someone who knows where it goes"
"Whats the blokes name?"
"dunno"
"Whats the name of the person who's PC i'm swapping?"
"Dunno"
"who set this job up, we could ask them"
"dunno really, it might be X, but she's not answering"

Sigh, ok. Get over there, sure enough no-one knows anything about a PC swap. So i leave the office i was told to try, put the PC down in the corridor and step into an empty office to call our room to get more help. "we've left a message with the focal point person"
"Is there anyone else to try?"
"Dunno"
"Could we have found out more details BEFORE sending me out here?"
"Dunno"

....

So i go out of the empty office, no PC! Its frieakin walked! I spent the next 10 minutes walking the corridors of building X asking myself if i had lost the PC or just my mind. Eventually some bloke wandered by eating a sammich.
"You looking for something?"
"Yup, i put a PC down against the wall over there and its walked"

"Oh, yeah, i moved it, and put it in my bosses office" (three corridors away)

!

"Why did you pick up a new PC, keyboard and mouse and walk off with it?"
"It was a tripping hazard. It could have tripped people going to the fire escape"

!

Its a 4" thick PC, on end against the wall in an 8' wide corridor! The fire extinguishers stick out further!

"Are you the safety officer for this building or something?"

....(smirks) "oh, we're ALL safety officers really, aren't we?!)"

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!

WTF over!

Whan a task like that comes along that's so vague - it seems stumbling blocks are around every corner.

BTW: You work with what seems like a bunch of DORKS!

An old cliche comes to mind; "the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing"!!

Sounds like a great opportunity to catch a few winks in the empty office. Call back over in about an hour and tell them you are still wandering around looking for no one in particular.
