Thanksgiving Turkey

I think I will BBQ a turkey for thanksgiving. Anyone got good recipes? Do you think I should just stuff it with beer cans?

Use a Weber kettle grill or a smoker type grill. I've done a bunch of them on my Weber but a smoker grill uses the same principals.

Basically, you light 2 sets of bricquets and set a water pan in the middle. This will ensure even cooking of the turkey and the water will add moisture to the heat so it doesn't dry out. Set the turkey with the breast side down and you may want to use foil or a rack to protect it. Don't stuff it as the stuffing will take on a raunchy BBQ flavor that is basically to intense to eat. It will cook faster than it would if it were in your oven. You can use the giblets to make gravey and cornbread and sage stuffing cooked in your oven goes great with it

Did you know that Robert used to date Julia Childs?

Dang Robert you're quite a gourmettttte. I always thought that you go out into the den and watch the football game and the turkey and fixins 'magically' appeared in the kitchen between the 3rd and 4th quarter.

You guys are making me hungry!

My ex didn't get fired without good cause - the only way the turkey showed up was if I bagged it, roasted it and delivered it to the table myself. Good thing my mamma taught me how to cook before I went off to college

As for dating Julia Child, I don't think so William, but nice try. You know, you should be more nice to me - I still have another can of your favorite paint in Blaines' garage that I can use on your junk this weekend
