Very nice, Sergey. Are you a birdwatcher?

I'm not familiar with California birds. The one in the marsh looks like a Great Egret. Is the other a Caspian Tern or the Cali equivalent?

This is what I did. Got to see 13 elk, 4 small bands of mule deer, and 1 coyote. All out of my camera's reach.

Sergey,

Nice pics like usual.

I forgot my camera but I rung in the New Year Vegas style.

I like to watch birds; I don't know if that alone qualifies me as a birdwatcher.

The white bird on the B&W picture is about twice as small as the next one in the marsh. I don't know what their official names are; I call their kind "Towel Wings", because their wings look like bath towels when they fly.

That's the V notch. Just a little fun place to play. Not too difficult, Chris did it in his over grown grocery getter.

Nice pics, folks.

The large white bird in the marsh in Sergey's pics is called a Casmerodius albus. Aka: Snowy Egret.

The smaller gray bird on the beach looks like a Larus heermanni. AKA: Heermann's Gull. The coloring is slightly different from the typical specimen, but that can vary due to age or season.

Just a wild guess though...might be a duck or crow
