Playing with Ron's camera:
http://www.jeep-tj.com/~tjron/Pictures/ron.JPG Sergey, Thanks for showing me how to use my new webspace! Ron I like the way my Jeep is now..... I'd just like it, well, a little higher off the ground with more ground clearance!

Try not to wear it out <grin>
I'm glad to see that you were able to figure out the connections and the software was compatible with your stuff. I had to do a work around to get the USB reader to work with Windows XP Professional; an update should be available soon. Very nice people and you can get an answer on-line right away. I'm keeping you to your promise to return it.

Some people should never been given digicams.

Kat, thank you for letting me borrow the camera. I love the fact that I can snap a picture, and then have it on the Internet in a metter of minutes. I think, I will get a Nikon of my own.
http://www.jeep-tj.com/~tobject/Pict...R/DSCN0001.jpg Look, your camera also works with Nikon SB-29 Macro Speedlight (The picture above was shoot with SB-22): http://www.jeep-tj.com/~tobject/Pict...R/DSCN0003.jpg Because, I can see the picture I shoot on the little LCD instantly, I see right away if I made any mistakes in lightning. Sweet! Don't worry, I connect only Nikon accessories to your camera. I have a lot of those. [This message was edited by TObject on January 22, 2002 at 07:13 PM.]

Those are some great macros!
What's a macro speed light? I'll start researching now 'cause I gotta have one of those..... Ron I like the way my Jeep is now..... I'd just like it, well, a little higher off the ground with more ground clearance!

I am highly confused. Did someone knock the planets out of whack? Did you all start drinking the tap water again? Something is terribly, terribly, seriously wrong here. In a very short span of time we have two converts that for all intents and purposes are doing an about face on previous opinions of stuff. Ain't openmindedness grand?
In case you haven't figured it out, that would be Stu and ARB's and Sergey and Digital image capturing of any kind. You are just another ride in the amusement park of my mind.

Ron, Macro Speed Light is a Nikon’s variety of a Ring Flash. Well, not really a ring flash, but there is an assembly that you attach in front of the lens, with two flash tubes on each side. The main advantage of this kind of flash, is that with it you light up everything you shoot with no total shadow anywhere in the picture. Unless you are working for law enforcement and take pictures of bruises or close ups of dead bodies, you probably don’t want one. I have one, because I am weird, I don’t normally use it as intended. In that bottom picture above, I just put the flash on the table, and then the subject inside of it, with flash tubes at 1 and 7 o’clock.
http://www.nikon-image.com/jpn/produ...oods/sb-29.jpg The best flash photography close-ups you can get by using a single off camera flash and experimenting with positioning (that’s how I’ve done that first close-up picture above). If you have time to stop at the library, get the book “Closeups in Nature” by John Shaw. He describes different techniques to nice macro and close-up pictures. He He He. Yes, I guess I am giving in. I must admit digital cameras are great in situations where you would want to instantly get or examine your picture. I am not giving up my film cameras though!

Here is me fooling with a desk light, un-touched up........ The first picture is just for size. The second has a tooth pick on his head.
http://www.jeep-tj.com/~tjron/Pictur...dish%20fig.JPG http://www.jeep-tj.com/~tjron/Pictur...ish%20head.JPG I NEED one of those lights! I love macro stuff and so does my wife. We are just starting to learn. Thanks Sergey. Go to bed mrblaine. Ron I like the way my Jeep is now..... I'd just like it, well, a little higher off the ground with more ground clearance! As for me, I sold out to the best bidder! (yeah, I know, now that we know what I am, it is just a matter of deciding on how much I'll do it for, right?) ROFLMAO In the near future I'm going to build a thingy for the back of my Jeep and carry more stuff. http://www.stu-offroad.com |

I wasn't satisfied with the original picture, so I decided to give "How to Goodbye Depression" another shoot:

Flash Photography Tip #1
Are you tired of the annoying black shadows you get when you use a flash to take pictures indoors?
http://www.peptide-synthesis.com/pro...shTip1_bad.jpg Just bounce the flash off the ceiling: http://www.peptide-synthesis.com/pro.../FlashTip1.jpg Much better, don’t you think?

Uh, hey Stu, I could've got a real cool picture of a lizard like yours, only green, in Moab if I had a good camera with a 10X lens like I have now. My wife nabbed the 3 1/2X one.
Kat, pretty flower. I found a nice one out in the desert today. I think it's gonna die soon, poor thing..... http://www.jeep-tj.com/~tjron/Pictures/DesertFlower.JPG I did some heavy flexing with my new D 44 and Ox today (Florida style)....... http://www.jeep-tj.com/~tjron/Pictures/FlexLake.JPG Ron I like the way my Jeep is now..... I'd just like it, well, a little higher off the ground with more ground clearance!

I figured you would remember!
It's funny how things work out. All I wanted was a good camera to mostly take Jeep pictures with. I did want one I could do some playing with and not a point and shoot. The photo bug from years past woke up in me. These digital cameras can do so much so cheap they're just amazing. The 10X zoom will definitely come in very handy! Another funny, today I used it for binculars when I saw an owl, ha ha. Ron I like the way my Jeep is now..... I'd just like it, well, a little higher off the ground with more ground clearance!

Often while traveling with a camera we arrive just as the sun slips over the horizon of a moment, too late to expose film, only time enough to expose our hearts.
