need help and suggestions

Ok I just bought a 91 Wrangler and need all the help and suggestions I can find..lol Well the first big problem I am having is that the motor in this jeep is a 4cyl and is very strong but the Transmission is pretty much shot and I have called every salvage yard in the area looking for a ax5 manual 5 speed but nobody got one and from my calls to have this one rebuilt will be well over $1000 which is really more then what i wanted to drop into it right off the get go. When I bought the jeep my first wanted to drop a 350 into it. Well any suggestions on a good motor/ tranny combination that will fit this Jeep that wouldnt be almost impossible to find would be very useful. Lots of the 2.5L YJ folks go with a 4.0L & AX-15 swap. There's plenty of swap info available on the net.
