Body mount ???

Blaine or any one who has moved their body mounts, could you mount a tube on topk of the frame and be safe or would a gusset be needed?? I want to move my 6 center mounts and was wondering if tube put on top of the frame will stay together.

Scott- I am guessing that you want to weld square tube to the top of the frame. Correct?

If so, don't do it. You will wind up carrying the load of the body on just one side of the tubing and have no bracing down the side of the frame.

Look at the pics I did on mine and do it that way. They are cut from 3x4 3/16" wall rectangular tubing and work quite well. Never touched them this past weekend. I will eventually.

The nice thing about doing it this way is that you can recycle the front one to the rear, and only have to make 4 new ones.

It is impossible to ascertain the value of something until you have paid for it a few times.

If you want them two inches higher, you need one of two things. A two inch body lift or 4 inch bigger tires.

I have a 2 inch body lift that I want to ace the center 6 pucks and replace them with something to raise them up a little.
