trying to make a hard top hoist

Any one make thier own hoist for inside a garage? I am gathering some things to make my own hoist for the hard top --I'd leave it off but it gets cold here in Missouri tornados, hail and snow are not stopped by roll bars.

Anyway if someone has done this can you share the plans you used? I know a new one is around $145 or so but certainly I can make one for far less.
