2 mods...
want to do 2 things to the TJ and looking for help/advice.
1. want to fabricate rocker guards. what size steel angle would be recommended, 6", 4"? should the guards attach to the body tub only or run back to frame? any tips, tricks, or things to watch out for while designing the part? 2. want to replace skid plate "shovel" with higher clearance skid. i have an '03 auto with the monster sized tranny. i can't build this but would buy one and make minor mods if needed. is there a brand that can give me additional clearance, looks like there is an approx. 2" spacer holding up the TC and i can gain this distance. can i also add a 1" MML to gain additional clearance? if i use a MML, can i still add a 2" susp. lift later without needing an SYE? thanks, your input will be appreciated since i know that most of you guys are pretty much fabrication gurus...

For my rockers, I used 4x4x1/4. They don't give.
