I suppose I should introduce myself..

I see many familiar names here, but now I know where you all have been hiding!! Nice little refuge y'all have going here too.

Anyhow, my name is Justin and yes, another Idaho fella here too. I have a mildly modified '98 TJ that I just started building earlier this year (warranty expired this past Feb). This TJ is my first Jeep so admittedly I am still learning a lot about SWB vehicles. Hopefully, in my limited knowledge, I can contribute some eperience too.

Here's a pic of my TJ:

Mods done so far (since I don't believe in long signatures);

RE 5.5" Long Arm Lift
AA SYE
Tom Wood CV rear shaft
JKS Quick Disconnects
35" Goodyear MTR's on 15x10 Eagle 589's
Dual OX Lockers (30f/44r) w/ 4.56 gears
Flowmaster Cat-Back Exhaust
FourXDoctor Rocker Panel Protection
Kilby Gas Tank Skid
Younger Bros. Rear Bumper/Tire Carrier
Cobra 75 CB Radio
RE Hand Throttle

On the upcoming to-do list;

1) Currie HD draglink/tierod
2) Box-in/reinforce front/rear LCA mounts
3) York on board air system
4) Tranny/T-case swap (current crawl ration is only 47:7 so I desperately need lower gears)
5) Warn HS9500i Winch on Currie front bumper
6) Full Roll Cage
7) RhinoLining Tub

I guess thats all for now!

Justin

Welcome Jolleyman!

That’s a nice looking jeep you got there. How did you have that picture taken? From a hot air balloon?

Please make yourself comfortable.

Finally I'm not the new guy any more! Take a seat, stay a while. Chat, debate, flame if you must. Oh, but watch out for the pimp, he's lurking.

Good ol' Jeep wave to you from the east coast.

Hang in there Jolleyman. I have seen the new prototype Currie set-up and it will work just fine. If my jeep wasn't in my garage this Thanksgiving, I would be testing it on the Hammers for John. btw- Welcome.

My most favorite thing ever said about me.- You are definitely an acquired taste.

Hey JM, It looks like you're well on your way to a really nice rig.

This is a really cool board with good people who'll never steer you wrong. Check out the thread under Jeep Friends about the raffle which helps support the board.

Wilkommen!

Thanks all for the welcome!

TObject,

That pic was taken from the rock ledge of the canyon wall in which we were playing in. This is the first object on our Bruneau Canyon run this past October (same run where Tumbleweed got tipsy)

Jim,

Gladly accept the position of NEWBIE! And who's this pimp character after all?

MrBlaine,

Yeah, I decided to be patient and wait for the Currie setup like I originally wanted in the first place. They said it would be ready mid-December which isn't too far away and considering I waited over 6 months for my rear bumper/tire carrier, I think I can hold out that long. I was seriously considering doing the knuckle-over conversion with heims but opted out of that for lack of the desire to have to relocate my trackbar.

Yates,

Love the black, it boasts those scratches like no other out there. That and my Jeep always looks dirty! Can't beat it I tell ya.

Jeff,

Tks for the welcome! I used to live/work around your part of the country. I ordered/bought my TJ from Don-A-Vee in Bellflower. I'd have to say I actually kinda miss the place, mostly the food. What's the name of that little Morrocan restaurant? And that little Irish Pub downtown? Damn my memory is leaving me these days.

Stu, please do not harm live animals. Get yourself an anatomically correct inflatable sheep:

Babouch (haven't been in 10 years but was good) and The Whale & Ale (any place with Guinness & Newcastle is okay with me). Small world Justin.

William, if numbers mean anything then green Jeeps do rule. Everybody (including me and my brother) has a friggin' green Jeep. To think, I coulda' had the identical Jeep in red but I figured it wasn't worth the extra 30 minute wait at the dealer while they prepped it and I also thought red was too popular. Unfortunately, they were all out of those sweet Magenta Jeeps!

TO, I won't ask how you have that link but I'll forward it to someone who I know could really use it!

That's it! I knew that would bother me until I could remember it somehow. Spent quite a bit of time at the Whale. Might have to visit again sometime.

Welcome Justin

BTW: Amber Fire Jeeps rule!

I like your Jeep, excellent choice in tires!

35" Goodyear MTR's rule! I guess that automatically makes you a member of the 35" tire club.

Feel free to join the Sick vs. Auto discussion anytime.

Blaine, Stu, You, and I all have green ones.

There is the Pale Majority:
RO Pete, Scott, Desert Fox, Sean, TO..

Then there are the oddball amythyst, shiny black and misc other colors..
