hello

Hello,

I'm Jason from Red Rock 4x4. After enough prodding from Blaine I've finally signed up here, looks like a good site.

I'm sure some of you know me or recognize my TJ. If not I've been into Jeep's for quite some time now.

I do run my own off road business. Please don't hold that against me, I'm not here solely to pimp products, but if you need anything let me know .

Here's my TJ from a few months back:

There's a lot of work in progress right now, whole Jeep will look 100% different shortly.

Specs (some of what is done, some of what will be done):

01 TJ 4.0:
-505 Performance Turbo, 6 psi for now, going w/ an intercooler and bumping to 8 psi soon, maybe methanol and 10 psi from there
-Atlas II 4.3
-Polished HP 30 (chromoly shafts, CTM's, ARB, etc)
-Polished 44 rear w/ ARB
-4.88 gears
-35" Toyo M/T's
-Pro Comp Fake Beadlocks
-Staun Internal Beadlocks
-PSC Tube Fenders, stingers front and rear, rear crusher corners w/ flares, trail cage, etc
-RE 4.5" LA, 1" body lift
-some Currie goodies (anti rock, steering, bump stops, LCA skids)

I think that covers it for the most part. We've got another 00 Black TJ my girlfriend drives, and a few others we work on so I've been around TJ's a lot for the past 5 years.

I'm buying a YJ soon, should be a fun project. Plan to run a 14 bolt / 60 combo, possibly a link suspension with air shocks, and 40"-42" tires.

Anyhow I'm here, just checking in

Welcome aboard Jason. You might be able to tell what my name is, if you look hard enough.

Hmm, a YJ! Better keep that a secret.

Welcome Jason!

Nice looking Jeep ... so were ours until we started following Blaine out at JV. Gonna' join us soon? People either seem to love it or never show up again. ... or there's those of us who love it and can't get out as often as we'd like.

LOL that's funny about people not coming back.

I do want to get out there, not sure if it will be in my TJ or not though since I'm starting to value the body panels even more on it lately. It's been rolled once, I couldn't stand how it looked so I fixed it. From what I understand, JV is not a good place to wheel if you value having a shiny rig . I'm having a lot of parts painted and powdercoated right now too so maybe I'll change my mind once I forget about the body ship bill. I'm not scared to scratch the Jeep up a bit here and there, but it's not going to be a hardcore trail rig by any means anymore.

The YJ will definitely be coming out that way many times though since I could care less what it looks like. I think I'll make my first run out there once the YJ is complete (assuming I can even find one for what I'm willing to spend) and somewhat dialed in. That way I can see how far it is to the nearest mall so I know if I really want to bring my TJ out there or not

Oh it still sees the rocks, the mall crawler thing is a joke

Here are a few pics from various stages of it's buildup:

Ton's more pictures here:

It's been torn down for the past 2 months, hope to have it all wrapped up for Moab.

How was Constrictor?

I've never been out to 5 mile pass, Little Moab a bunch of times though.

I hear it's a pretty fun trail though...
