Someplace near San Diego county/Ocotillo/etc. for a little rock crawling?

A few of us may be going out for a little wheeling Sunday, any good ideas for a little rock crawling would be great... no time to drive out to JV etc. and the trails I've seen/done at LCIR have too little good slow-speed technical rock crawling to suit me. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Try Lake Moreno, Carrlo Canyon OHV.
Here's a write up:

Went last weekend it was hot, this week should be a little better weather wise.

If you can find the "fire plug run" for the TDS area, that has some decent spots, especially in the northern edges. Sand Stone Canyon in Anza Borrego is good, but it's a lot of driving for medium crawling. I've heard a lot about coral Canyon, but never been. Talk to James Hasler, he's had fun out towards that area.

This Sundays run wasn't too difficult (for locked Jeeps). But it was a good opportunity for us to get to know some new SoCal faces.

We'll have to make a run out where the BLM Ranger (Patrick), mentioned next time. I'm sure it'll offer better challenges. Hopefully it won't be quite as hot either. LOL

BTW, do you have a way to post/send any of the pics you took?
