Talking So Everyone Hides Out Here?

Thanks to Ron for pointing me in the right direction! And Poo Poo on Blaine for not telling me.....

I've got a long way to go with TJ #2 and I have a lot of concers and thoughts. I had a plan all worked out, and two days ago had a vision.....and I'm about ready to do a 180*.

I'm looking forward to hanging out here. I recognize a lot of names in here too. I'm sure that in time you'll all see things my way and agree with me.

Here's my latest.....2000 TJ.....Tera, 32s and stuff. And I don't wanna hear any crap about Teraflex either! This is only Oficially Phase 2. Phase 3 is what I'm working on now.....

Notice the gleam on the hood!

Allen

Thumbs up Hi Allen

OMG! A jeep that is shinier than mine I've been put to shame! But just wait until you see my new Jeep Mod, if it's bright enough today I just might take a picture and share. I believe that we have something in our backyard that belongs to you, it should be on its way soon. How about if I ship it next week?

Can you come over and wax my Jeep for me? I like your stickers.

Welcome,
Kat

PS. Have you heard of: "the curse of the Red TJ" ?

PSS. Tera stuff is crap

Well,

Hello Mrs. Kat.

Yes, my Jeep is painfully shiny. I like them that way. Not afraid to get scratched, dented, or dusty, but I still like them to look good after all is said and done.

And where is this new mod? I'm on the edge of my seat. I'e been sitting here all day waiting.....

Yes, my HP 30? Please ship it soon.....along with my real part.

Wax? Sure. Just send directions.....Not sure you want me and Blaine to get mixed up with one another though. Could spell some trouble.

I like your stickers too. Trying to get a hold of some of them Splatmen!

Curse of the red TJ? Please share.....this is my 2nd red TJ.

And Tera stuff isn't "crap" per sey.....little bracket reinforcement here, little weld there, and all is good.

Allen

Hello Allen!
If Kathryn is Mrs. Kat, does that make Blaine Mr. Kat?
Kat, I have four splatman stickers I promise to send tomorrow. Sorry, I forgot all about them until now.....
I like my Jeep shiny too!

I'll never forget Allen #1.
When I first ventured forth on JU with the typical newbie questions, Allen took the time to e-mail me, listen to how I was wheeling and offer me some very good advise on what mods I needed to get where I wanted to go. I didn't take all of it (being me) but I sure appreciated cutting through the JU geniuses and getting some real scoop.
Allen, thanks again!

Ron,

You didn't take all my advice? I'm hurt!

What little tidbit that I offered did you just throw away?

Blaine as Mr. Kat? We'll leave that up to him.

And Ron, when are you just gonna primer that whole thing?

PS.....your linky no worky.....

Allen

If I remember right you advised against the Super 35 which I bought. I didn't know enough to find, buy and change axles but was not afraid to set up my own gears. Figure that one!
It served me well and I got $900 for it when I went to 35s. No complaints.

Primer rules!

try this one for splatmans, guaranteed!

Cool I'm back!

Ok, now it is not completely finished so don't tell me that I need to paint the bolts on the bumper, I promise that I will. I have a few other things to paint like the front and rear springs, the rear bumper and the control arms. I painted my spare hubs and I?m just waiting for them to dry before I put them on. If you saw my Jeep before, it was nicknamed: "The Great Pumpkin". I was ready for a change. I worked most of yesterday on it with Blaine's help. Today Blaine and Robert put on the front bumper and Blaine let me have his new winch rope. Did I mention that I got a new winch too?

I really like the new color, but it's just going to be like the green color, either you will love it or you will hate it.

What do you think?

Ron, I'm looking forward to getting my new stickers. Do you think that they will go with the blue color?

Kat

PS. Allen instead of the wax, I really need someone to polish my rims.

If green goes with blue they'll match right up.

I'm going to go take pictures of my Jeep seeing how's I just washed it up and got my new "Nevada Ron's Rubicon Ready Moab Mashin' Tellico Tough Gear Hauling Tailgate Rumble Rack" installed.
Stay tuned..........

As promised, my camping tailgate rack. Made by myself with one good hand. It weighs in at 35# which is heavier than I wanted but it'll do what I want it to.
Would it look better black? I couldn't decide.

And here's clean and shiney!

Yeah,

And from the pictures of the stuff I've seen you doing, I'd still recommend against it.

I didn't however consider the resale.....sounds like you did OK then.

What are you running now, a 44?

The link works, but I can't find the stickers.....

That's your spare tire carrier, right?

I vote black.....

I run a D44 with one of those Oxes that everyone complains about. Mine works most excellent.......
My spare is in the tub under a board I spent a day making.
The rack pops on and off when needed for camping trips. I'm taking my big brother on the Rubicon so I needed extra storage. I do a lot of camping and exploring in the local area. At times I need to carry 15 gallons of gas + gear. It's going to come in handy. Funky, but handy.

Hey,

If you put the spare back on the tailgate, you wouldn't need a storage box. You'd have the tub for storage again.....

The Rubicon? I'm jealous.....

Well Allen,
That's the delema when you do so many different things with your Jeep.

Sometimes I do hard core stuff. The tire on the back sucks on steep ledges and such.

Sometimes I go camping by myself. So now I have a little and a big hang on rack for that.

Sometimes the wife and dog go, like in Moab. The plywood tire cover in the tub accepts my carpet lined dog box so the dog is comfy. That makes my wife happy.

It's taken a couple years of different combos to get this down to workable.

My biggest mistake was the Younger Bros bumper/tire carrier. That thing was really built well but way to heavy for hard core stuff. As soon as I took it off, my Jeep seemed light and nimble again. No tire on the back for me!

Thumbs up Looking Good Ron!

I'm glad to see your Jeep all clean and shiny. Black would be the perfect color for your new rack. It should come in handy for your trip to the Rubicon. I wish that I had, had a rack for our trip to the Grand Canyon.

Are you going to get a weather proof cover made for it? Might come in handy for when it rains, not to mention the dust factor

I can't wait for Blaine to get his Jeep finished so that we can go wheeling. Hopefully it won't be much longer.

I'll be checking the mail for my stickers, thank you!

I kind of thought black would be too much but I'm thinking you guys are right. Heck, I have two cans of Hammerlite on it! Oh well it'll probably go black.
Kat, I'll probably throw a trash bag in there to keep things dry and clean.
If it's a nice day I can roll up the back window and stack more light stuff on top of it.
I did tell you about my convertible top I rigged up didn't I? It works almost as quick as yours.

Thanks Robert,

But unfortunately this whole thread is about me.

You'll have to start your own thread about yourself.....and hope I don't hijack it.
